UAV in Real Estate

Real estate is becoming increasingly popular field to use UAVs in. As I posted a while ago, using UAVs for commercial purposes such as real estate is still banned but since the law is sort of in the grey zone of law, people are slowly starting to use them massively to advertise the buildings they want to sell.

"With this, it allows you to get right in on the house. We could open up these doors and I could fly inside the house and fly out and rotate in,"

said Scott Magner from Eagle Eye Productions. He adds that footage from UAV is unique to the field because there is simply no other way of getting anything similar. For one, you can’t fit a helicopter into the building and likewise if you have no helicopter you can’t fly the cameraman around the estate. UAV presents a cheap solution to both of these problems.

Companies like Eagle Eye Productions then balance at the edge of law and present their trade with the help of UAS. Phil Immel, a realtor boasts that they managed to sell a home in UAS to an Australian customer who came over and instantly bought the property for four million dollars the moment he had seen the video.

Moreover, the realtors admit that it is already cheaper to buy your own UAS rather than rent one. The progress of the industry made it possible to buy a UAV (which cannot really be used for commercial purposes) on eBay for as low as 81 dollars. Of course, this UAS resembles a toy much more than an actual tool but if you add just slightly more funds to the budged the experience that you will get with your UAV will radically change.
